Turkey sets 2 January 2019 as effective date for Competent Authority Agreement on Exchange of Information with Latvia

A Competent Authority Agreement on the Automatic Exchange of Information (CAA on AEOI) between Latvia and Turkey was signed on 20 December 2018 with the Presidential Decision published in the Official Gazette dated 30 December 2018.1

Turkey establishes 2 January 2019 as the effective date of the CAA on AEOI between Latvia and Turkey through the Presidential Decision published in the Official Gazette dated 25 July 2019. This follows Latvia’s completion of the ratification process.

The provisions of the Presidential Decision noted above entered into force on the date of publication (25 July 2019).
